Richard comes to the cage accompanied by In Ashes They Shall Reap. Godeaux has chosen Battle Ready as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richard clinches.
Godeaux breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Richard throws the kick towards the body but Godeaux avoids it.

Stan Richard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice uppercut lands for Richard. That snapped Godeaux's head back.
Richard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Godeaux tries to avoid it but Richard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Godeaux to the ground. Godeaux escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Godeaux tries to score a power double leg takedown but Richard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Godeaux somewhat.

Godeaux's corner calls for a 1-2. Godeaux obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Godeaux does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
