Jayson Howard struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Howard shoots in looking for a takedown. Hyrski tries to sprawl out of it but Howard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hyrski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hyrski has hold of Howard's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Howard manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
