Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Flare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter has chosen Dance Monkey -Sage Francis as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that John Flare has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily John Flare seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 25 - 0, fighting out of London, John Flare! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Matt Hunter! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flare comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Flare looking to score a takedown here. Hunter is defending well but Flare drives through and ends up in Hunter's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hunter tries to land a sweep but no joy. Flare throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hunter works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Flare wants to control from the top but Hunter keeps moving. Flare passes Hunter's left leg - he's now in half guard. Flare is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flare is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hunter defends it well. Flare trying to control the action but Hunter is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Flare is trying to work for a kimura but Hunter is defending well.
Hunter moves into full guard.
Flare throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flare wants to pass the guard but Hunter is keeping the position. Flare is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Flare stopping the sweep attempt from Hunter. Hunter keeping moving, preventing Flare from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of John Flare. Hunter tries to keep at a distance but Flare has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter jumps guard but Flare turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Hunter is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Flare can't fight it off and eventually Hunter manages to take the fight to the floor. Flare looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Flare is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Flare manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hunter manages to get himself to full guard.
Flare looking to pass the guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Flare advances to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Flare dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Flare slaps away a takedown attempt from Hunter, before circling back to the center of the mat. Excellent takedown into side control there by Flare. Flare wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hunter, who protects the arm well. Hunter gets back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Flare is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Flare working the ground and pound effectively.
Flare is standing up, even though he is in mount. Hunter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hunter shoots in looking for a takedown but Flare manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hunter's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. John Flare has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Hunter. Flare feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Flare works a leg free and moves into half guard. Flare keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Flare is looking for a kimura here.
Hunter wants to control but Flare is keeping busy and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hunter is breathing heavily. Flare is stalling here. Hunter is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Flare seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hunter has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunter tries to move into full mount but can't pass Flare's legs. Flare wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Hunter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Flare is trying to control Hunter's posture but Hunter avoids it. Hunter is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Flare knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hunter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hunter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flare manages to get back to half guard. Flare is trying to maintain the position but Hunter is very close to passing his half guard. Flare wants to improve his position but Hunter is controlling well.
Flare is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hunter is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Flare has managed to free his arm - good work. Flare tries to roll over but Hunter keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Flare dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Flare throws a head kick but Hunter moves out of range.
Flare pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hunter back to the cage. Flare follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Flare swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hunter rushes Flare and presses him up against the cage. Flare has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hunter regains guard immediately. Hunter tries to land a sweep but no joy. Flare advances position into side control! Flare goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hunter rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Flare's guard! Nice work there by Hunter!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter wants to pass the guard but Flare is keeping the position. Hunter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hunter slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Flare has his foot on Hunter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hunter works his way back into a safe position though. Hunter trying to control but Flare is working from the bottom. Flare is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. It looks like Flare is going to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter wants to improve his position but Flare is controlling well.
Hunter moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hunter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hunter keeping moving, preventing Flare from controlling successfully. Flare advances to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flare is looking to take a break and control but Hunter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Flare tries to stand and escape but Hunter is controlling the position. Hunter wants to get back to full guard. Hunter is defending against the submission attempts here by Flare.

Flare seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hunter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Flare wants to free his trapped foot but Hunter is holding on for dear life with his legs. Flare is working for a submission of some sort.
And that's the end of the fight! John Flare showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Flare, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
