Blaster's entrance music is The Number of The Beast - Iron Maiden. A fine choice. Hershey has chosen Aztechnical as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Master Blaster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steve Hershey! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaster fails with a takedown attempt. Hershey fails to land with a series of punches.
Blaster shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hershey sprawls well. Hershey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Blaster gets slowly back to his feet. Blaster fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hershey to the ground. Blaster is now in Hershey's guard. Blaster avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Blaster is in close to Hershey's body, working some short punches and elbows. Blaster is looking to work some ground and pound but Hershey has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hershey tries to land a sweep but no joy. Blaster is looking to work some ground and pound but Hershey has wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blaster with a nice head shot there. Hershey working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Blaster. Hershey has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Blaster should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hershey has tightened it up now! Blaster should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
