The fight stays on the outside here - Pickett looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pickett keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Von Bitcon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Pickett wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Von Bitcon is now in half guard.

Von Bitcon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Von Bitcon is working for a kimura but Pickett is defending it quite comfortably.
Von Bitcon is breathing heavily.
Pickett throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Von Bitcon is thwarting Pickett's attempts to control the position.

Pickett wants to control but Von Bitcon is keeping busy.
Von Bitcon wants to pass to mount but Pickett is defending the position.
Pickett avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Von Bitcon.
Von Bitcon passes to side control.
Pickett parries the strikes from Von Bitcon easily there. Von Bitcon is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pickett to escape.
Von Bitcon has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Pickett looks to score with a jab to the body but Von Bitcon is just out of range.

Pickett with a poor takedown
and Von Bitcon counters with a shoot takedown. Pickett fights it but they end up in guard.
Von Bitcon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pickett swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pickett tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Von Bitcon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pickett is keeping the position for now.
Von Bitcon trying to control but Pickett is working from the bottom.
Pickett not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Von Bitcon stands and throws Pickett's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Von Bitcon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Von Bitcon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pickett prevents Von Bitcon from moving into mount.
Von Bitcon passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Pickett!
Von Bitcon wants to take Pickett's back here but Pickett is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Von Bitcon is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Pickett has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Von Bitcon controlling from mount.
Von Bitcon has control of Pickett's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pickett regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Von Bitcon working for a submission but Pickett is keeping him at bay.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Conelius Von Bitcon dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Von Bitcon has his takedown stuffed
and Pickett counters by moving into the clinch.
Von Bitcon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pickett fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Pickett misses with a few strikes there.
Von Bitcon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Pickett counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Conelius Von Bitcon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Von Bitcon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pickett controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Von Bitcon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pickett is one step ahead there.

Von Bitcon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pickett's guard.
Von Bitcon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Von Bitcon slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Pickett wants to get back to his feet but Von Bitcon drags him back down.
Von Bitcon wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pickett, who protects the arm well.
Pickett is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Von Bitcon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pickett is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Von Bitcon tries to advance position but instead Pickett slips a leg back in to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Von Bitcon seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Pickett is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
