The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miranda doesn't succeed with the takedown
so Dzoko counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Dzoko tries to free his leg and advance position but Miranda is retaining full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Miranda counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Miranda is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
