Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Viny Fay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyman Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Viny Fay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lyman Santos! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Fay counters with a single leg into guard. Santos didn't expect that. Santos is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Santos might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fay kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Fay throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fay postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Fay postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Lyman Santos. Santos tries to clinch but fails miserably and Fay decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Santos's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fay loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Fay drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fay jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Fay throwing strikes from guard but Santos blocks nicely. Fay looking to pass the guard.

Fay has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Santos working for a triangle but Fay defends it easily.
Fay content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Fay is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Fay drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Santos manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fay has Santos in his guard. Santos won't allow Fay to sweep him here. Fay is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fay trying to keep a closed guard but Santos is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Fay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fay working a defensive guard here.
Santos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Santos moves to clinch but Fay breaks away so Fay counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This has been an exciting period of action! Fay stopping the sweep attempt from Santos. Santos is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos passes to side control. Santos advances to mount. Fay is trying desperately to improve position. Santos tries to control but Fay wriggling away. Fay stops Santos from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Santos stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Fay keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fay swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Santos fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fay looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Santos shoots in looking for a takedown but Fay manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Santos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Viny Fay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lyman Santos. Santos tries to clinch up. Santos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fay's waist but Fay gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Santos off to one side. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Santos fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fay on the side of the head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Fay keeps the fight on the outside. Fay circles away from the clinch attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Viny Fay will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Santos forces Fay back against the cage and clinches. Santos wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Santos is trying to push Fay away but Fay has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Santos is looking for a takedown. Santos pulls guard successfully.

Santos gets back to half guard. Fay is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Santos is just riding it out for now. Fay eventually gives up the hold. Santos trying to control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fay is working for an americana but Santos has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Fay was thinking about the submission. Fay avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Santos uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fay's guard. Nice move by Santos! Santos is looking to work some ground and pound but Fay has wrist control. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Santos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fay is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Santos frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Santos throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

And that's the end of the fight! Lyman Santos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Santos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
