Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aslambek Saidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vaughn Donovan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saidov comes to the cage accompanied by Ashim - Kavkaz. Vaughn Donovan will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donovan looks to throw the jab but Saidov is out of range.
Donovan fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Saidov on the side of the head.
A jab from Donovan misses.
Saidov shoots in looking for a takedown. Donovan tries to sprawl out of it but Saidov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Donovan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Saidov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Saidov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Donovan but Donovan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aslambek Saidov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Saidov on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Saidov shoots in and drives through. Donovan sprawls well.
A slow jab from Donovan misses its intended target.
Donovan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Donovan looks to land a left hand but Saidov moved out of range nicely.

Donovan throws a shot from downtown. Saidov moves away and avoids it.
Donovan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Saidov defending well as Donovan loads up on a big left hand.
Donovan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Saidov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Donovan circles away.
Saidov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Saidov is rocked!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Saidov.
Oh Saidov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Saidov is breathing heavily.
Donovan is pushing Saidov's head away, looking to escape. Saidov manages to hold on to the position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saidov seems to have got his legs back now.
Saidov is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Donovan's shoulder. That is not cool.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Donovan pushes Saidov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Saidov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Saidov staying calm.
Saidov prevents Donovan from escaping the position.

Saidov just content to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Aslambek Saidov just wasn't active enough.
Donovan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Saidov.
Donovan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Saidov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Donovan but Donovan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Saidov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Saidov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Donovan sprawls well. Donovan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Saidov gets slowly back to his feet.

Donovan is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Saidov had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Saidov moves away from the strike by Donovan.
Donovan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Saidov takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Donovan is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice defenses there by Saidov.
Donovan bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Donovan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
A telegraphed right hand from Donovan misses the target.
Donovan has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Saidov gets the takedown into side control.
Donovan is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Saidov wants to control for a moment but Donovan uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vaughn Donovan dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Horrible takedown by Saidov or perhaps it was just good defense by Donovan which made him look bad.
Saidov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Donovan as he jumps to the side.
Saidov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Donovan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Saidov somewhat.

Saidov takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Saidov shoots in but no luck this time.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Saidov shoots in but Donovan avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Saidov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Donovan lands a jab to the head.

Donovan sends Saidov crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Donovan is motioning to the referee to let Saidov up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
