The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chowdhury takes a shot to the body in his stride.
No luck for Chowdhury with that takedown attempt.
A decent looking cross lands there for Chowdhury.
Chowdhury fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. The Ripper sprawls well initially but Chowdhury persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The Ripper is looking to escape.
The Ripper on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if The Ripper tries to get out of the position.

Chowdhury seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but The Ripper does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jack The Ripper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of raadChitta Chowdhury.
Chowdhury has hold of one of The Ripper's legs. The Ripper is fighting the takedown attempt but Chowdhury gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The Ripper is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Chowdhury drops back looking for a leg! The Ripper is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and The Ripper manages to kick Chowdhury off! Chowdhury jumps back into The Ripper's guard.

The Ripper tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The Ripper is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jack The Ripper just wasn't active enough.
The Ripper takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Chowdhury misses with a takedown
and The Ripper counters with a two punch combo.

Chowdhury shoots in but no luck this time.
The Ripper throws a one two combo.
A combination from The Ripper does no damage.
The Ripper throws a series of punches but Chowdhury moves out of range.
The Ripper thuds a left hand into Chowdhury's body.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Chowdhury enables The Ripper to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chowdhury manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The Ripper working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Chowdhury's head.

The Ripper throws an elbow that misses. Chowdhury uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in The Ripper's guard. Nice move by Chowdhury!
Chowdhury has gone for a leg lock! The Ripper slips out almost immediately though and dives into Chowdhury's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on raadChitta Chowdhury's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The Ripper pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Chowdhury back to the cage. The Ripper follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Chowdhury tries for a takedown but The Ripper sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
The Ripper is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Chowdhury's half guard.
The Ripper seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. The Ripper connects with a nice short shot to Chowdhury's temple.

The Ripper knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chowdhury on the ground.
The Ripper wants to stand up but Chowdhury is controlling the position.

The Ripper is fighting to break Chowdhury's control of his arms but Chowdhury is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Chowdhury had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. The Ripper defends it easily.
Chowdhury is breathing heavily.
The Ripper loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
