PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pvt. Duane Doberman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Nak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duane Doberman and Harry Nak. Harry Nak will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pvt. Duane Doberman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Harry Nak!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Nak darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.


It looks like Pvt. Duane Doberman has been cut.
Nak stalks Doberman and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Doberman's face. Doberman staggers backwards, shaken.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Doberman stuffs the takedown.

Doberman gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Doberman controls Nak momentarily but Nak frees himself.
Nak trying to control but Doberman is working from the bottom.
Doberman has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Nak tries to free his leg and advance position but Doberman is retaining full guard.
Nak trying to control the position from guard on top but Doberman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Doberman misses with a two punch combination.
Harry Nak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Doberman has Nak up against the cage in a clinch.

Doberman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Doberman leaves Nak with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Doberman misses with a hook.
No joy there for Nak, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Doberman connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.


It looks like Harry Nak has been cut.

Doberman gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Doberman misses with the head strike.

Nak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nak misses with a two punch combination.
Doberman lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nak throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nak shoots for a takedown but Doberman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pvt. Duane Doberman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Nak.
Doberman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nak swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Doberman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nak circles away quickly and effectively.
Doberman tries to close the distance and clinch but Nak swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nak takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Nak closes this distance looking for a takedown but Doberman circles away.
Nak looks for a takedown but Doberman sprawls well.
Nak looks winded!
Nak fails to land with a series of punches.
Doberman stuffs the takedown attempt from Nak. Nak gets slowly back to his feet.

Nak gets tackled into the cage by Doberman. Doberman maintains the clinch.
Nak stalling in the clinch but Doberman improves position.
Doberman misses with a body punch.
Doberman scores with a nice hook to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Doberman.
Nak tries to stall but Doberman uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Doberman lands with a left to the head.
Doberman lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Doberman struggles to land a body shot inside as Nak controls his hands.
Nak prevents a body shot from Doberman.
Nak is looking for a takedown.
Nak drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Doberman misses with some punches.
Doberman scores with a shot to the side of Nak's head.
Doberman tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Doberman tries to work over Nak's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Doberman tries a body shot but Nak blocks it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nak blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Nak.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pvt. Duane Doberman will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Doberman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Doberman scores with a nice strike.
Doberman ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Doberman cracks Nak with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Nak looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Doberman finish him?


Nak is rocked!
Pvt. Duane Doberman is winning the standup battle so far.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Doberman lands a body shot.
Nak is still on wobbly legs! Can Doberman finish him?

Doberman clinches up with Nak and pushes him back against the cage.
Doberman loads up on a right hand - it lands flush and knocks Nak senseless! What a punch!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pvt. Duane Doberman!
After winning the bout, Pvt. Duane Doberman thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
