Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Reilly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bogban Dyachenko! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reilly shoots in but Dyachenko avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dyachenko is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Dyachenko lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Dyachenko pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dyachenko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Reilly's guard. Reilly has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dyachenko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reilly is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dyachenko defends well. Reilly will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Reilly working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dyachenko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dyachenko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Dyachenko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Reilly keeping moving, preventing Dyachenko from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reilly escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dyachenko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dyachenko is posturing up here but Reilly has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Dyachenko tries to roll out but it's too tight and Dyachenko has to tap! Slick submission there by Reilly!
