Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Attling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Maci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Attling comes into the arena with Dj Tiesto - Illusion blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Attling!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mario Maci!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid body kick from Maci.
Attling shoots in looking for a takedown. Maci tries to sprawl out of it but Attling keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Maci manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Maci blocks a jab.
Attling will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Maci tries to score with a low kick but Attling moves his leg out of the way.
Maci looks for the body kick but Attling saw that one coming.
Maci misses with a body kick.
Attling lands a jab to the nose.
Maci shoots for a takedown but Attling saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Maci throws a front kick that sends Attling stumbling back into the cage.
Maci throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Maci misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Attling scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Attling shoots in looking for a takedown but Maci manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Attling's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maci takes the fight into the clinch.
Maci has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Attling uses from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Attling keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Maci's head.
Maci is wriggling around but Attling manages to pass to half guard.
Attling looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Maci with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Attling working over Maci with some ground and pound. Maci looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Attling lands with a punch from half guard.
Attling working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maci is looking to improve his position.
Maci wants to stand back up but Attling manages to pass into side control.
Attling lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Attling scores with punches from side control.
Attling landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Check out the look on Attling's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Attling has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Maci is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Attling asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Maci looks winded!
Attling scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Maci to see if he's OK.
Attling connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Maci some visible discomfort.

Attling is putting a hurting on Maci here, landing some big shots from side control.

Attling lands a nice forearm strike.
Maci is rocked!
Maci really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Attling. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Attling in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Maci looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Attling turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
