Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Pavlic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tyrone Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Maximus Pavlic! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pavlic has taken the fight to the clinch.
Pavlic manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Pavlic pulls Williams in close to his closed guard and prevents Williams from doing any damage or advancing position. Williams working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pavlic's head. Williams tries to stand but Pavlic is controlling from the bottom. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pavlic holds on and takes a little breather. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pavlic trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Williams slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Pavlic has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Pavlic looking for a sweep. Not yet Pavlic, not yet. Williams stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pavlic tries to avoid it but Williams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pavlic to the ground. Pavlic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Pavlic closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pavlic lands in his opponent's guard. Williams pulls Pavlic in to control the position. Williams wants to get back to his feet but Pavlic is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Williams looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pavlic tries to free his leg and advance position but Williams is retaining full guard. Williams keeping moving, preventing Pavlic from controlling successfully. Pavlic with a flurry of punches that miss. Pavlic is pushing down on Williams's leg trying to pass to half guard. Williams is fighting to maintain full guard but Pavlic has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams is staying active underneath Pavlic, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Pavlic missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Pavlic wants to free his trapped foot but Williams is holding on for dear life with his legs. Pavlic working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Williams is looking for a sweep. Pavlic is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Nice strikes from Pavlic there. Pavlic is keen to just control but Williams is a slippery customer. Pavlic frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pavlic lands a big shot there that rocks Williams but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams trying desperately to get to his feet.
Pavlic lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
A nice elbow there by Pavlic. Williams wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Williams is breathing heavily. Pavlic working for a guillotine from mount but Williams is in no mood to give up. Williams is working to get back to half guard.
Pavlic looking to control but Williams is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Pavlic content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pavlic scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Williams?
Williams wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Pavlic sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Pavlic looking to finish Williams with some ground and pound. This is bad for Williams! Williams prevents Pavlic from taking his back. Williams is in a horrible position here. Pavlic smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Maximus Pavlic dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Williams stuffs the takedown attempt from Pavlic. Pavlic gets slowly back to his feet. Williams's corner calls for a 1-2. Williams obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Tyrone Williams is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pavlic fails in his attempt to clinch. Pavlic gets a takedown into half guard. Pavlic stops Williams from getting back to his feet.
Williams tries to kick Pavlic off in order to stand up. Pavlic Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Williams is looking to regain half guard here but Pavlic keeps moving and retains side control. Williams misses with a strike from the bottom. Pavlic is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Williams's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Pavlic grinds an elbow into Williams's temple. Pavlic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Williams keeps working. Williams is looking to regain half guard here but Pavlic keeps moving and retains side control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pavlic tries to clinch there but Williams circles away.
Pavlic fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Williams, pushing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Williams goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pavlic prevents it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Williams blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Pavlic drags the fight down to the ground.
Williams trying to stand up but can't free himself from Pavlic's guard. Pavlic trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Williams wants to control from the top but Pavlic keeps moving. Pavlic is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pavlic passes the guard and advances to mount! Pavlic scoring with strikes but Williams is staying in there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pavlic looking to control but Williams is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Pavlic connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Williams tries to buck Pavlic off but he can't manage it. Pavlic controlling his opponent. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pavlic cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pavlic goes for an armbar but Williams turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Williams. Williams has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Pavlic seems keen to control Williams's posture. Pavlic controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself. Pavlic has his foot on Williams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Williams works his way back into a safe position though. Pavlic pulls Williams in close to prevent any damage. Williams wants to control from the top but Pavlic keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maximus Pavlic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Williams looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Williams decides to stand up. Pavlic wants to clinch up but Williams keeps it at a distance. Williams rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pavlic moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Williams will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pavlic is looking to clinch but Williams is avoiding it.
Pavlic has his takedown stuffed and Williams counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Pavlic holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Pavlic looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Williams winds up and cracks Pavlic with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Pavlic wants to improve his position but Williams is controlling well.
Williams tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Pavlic tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg. Pavlic is looking to control Williams's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pavlic avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Pavlic keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Williams.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pavlic shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Williams counters with a good low kick that Pavlic was not able to check. Williams tries to clinch up. Williams scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Williams lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
A nice leg kick lands there from Williams. Pavlic looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Williams is fending him off so far but Pavlic persists. Nope, Williams circles away and we're back to standing. Tyrone Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maximus Pavlic. Williams tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Pavlic counters by clinching up. Pavlic pushes Williams back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Pavlic is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Pavlic manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pavlic has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Williams doesn't defend quickly enough and Pavlic has managed to lock this one up! Can Williams escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Pavlic on a fantastic submission victory.
