Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ross Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vicente Centurion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ross Lawson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ross Lawson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ross Lawson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vicente Centurion! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lawson wants to clinch up but Centurion keeps it at a distance. Lawson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Centurion gets the takedown into side control. Lawson is trying to control Centurion's posture but Centurion avoids it. Centurion wants to control but Lawson is keeping him busy. Lawson tries to buck Centurion off but Centurion is having none of it. Centurion is trying to ground and pound but Lawson uses the momentary lack of control by Centurion to regain half guard. Centurion seems to be looking for submissions.
Centurion not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lawson is trying to stand.
Lawson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Centurion feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Centurion passes Lawson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lawson trying to hold on to Centurion's head to control him but Centurion postures up.
Centurion takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Centurion thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lawson is refusing to be controlled, as Centurion sits in half guard. Centurion is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lawson defends it well. Lawson is pressing down on Centurion's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Centurion looking to pass the guard. Centurion has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lawson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Centurion seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Centurion trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lawson has an active guard here but Centurion has managed to pass into half guard.
Centurion is trying to control the action in half guard but Lawson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Centurion wants to free his trapped foot but Lawson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Centurion is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Centurion raining down shots from the mount! Centurion looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Centurion can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lawson is looking to escape. Centurion avoids the attempt from Lawson to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Centurion looking to control but Lawson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Centurion connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Lawson is squirming around, avoiding Centurion's attempts to control the action. Centurion lands with some strikes. Lawson regains half guard. Centurion is thwarting Lawson's attempts to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vicente Centurion dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Lawson throws a right hand that Centurion ducks under and follows up with a left that Centurion also avoids with ease. Centurion shoots in and bounces Lawson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Centurion tries to free his leg and advance position but Lawson is retaining full guard. Centurion controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Centurion stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lawson swivels though and keeps the full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lawson is on top in guard.
Centurion not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Centurion looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Centurion lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lawson! Lawson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Lawson can't escape the position.
Centurion scoring with strikes but Lawson is staying in there. Centurion is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Centurion extends the arm and Lawson is forced to tap!
