Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alan Corke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jordan Bomber! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bomber with a poor takedown and Corke counters with a series of strikes. Bomber will be more careful next time no doubt. Bomber misses with a takedown attempt and Corke counters with a one-two to the body. Bomber with a poor takedown letting Corke counter with a right hand. Alan Corke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Bomber. Bomber wants to clinch but Corke slips to the side and Corke counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bomber gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Corke counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bomber misses with a takedown attempt and Corke counters with a stiff right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bomber shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Corke looking to sweep here. No luck so far. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bomber accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Corke looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bomber with a flurry of punches that miss. Corke has his feet on Bomber's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Bomber shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Corke cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bomber shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Corke manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Bomber looks winded! Bomber stopping the sweep attempt from Corke. Bomber throws a big right hand that misses. Bomber throws a big elbow that misses. Corke manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Corke throws a hook but Bomber avoids it easily. Bomber fails with a takedown attempt. Bomber gets a double leg takedown into Corke's guard. Corke has his feet on Bomber's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bomber with a poor takedown enabling Corke to counter with a crisp jab. Jordan Bomber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Corke fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bomber with a lazy takedown attempt and Corke counters with a three punch combo that has Bomber backing up. Bomber nods at Corke to acknowledge the strikes. Corke tries to bum rush Bomber with a series of wild strikes but Bomber uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bomber tries to close the distance and clinch but Corke swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bomber misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bomber has his takedown stuffed and Corke counters with a three punch combo that has Bomber backing up. Bomber nods at Corke to acknowledge the strikes. Corke pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Corke throws a series of punches but Bomber avoids them all with ease. Bomber tries to clinch but Corke moves out of range. Corke swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A nice combination there by Corke.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bomber looks for a takedown but Corke sprawls well. Bomber shoots in for a takedown but Corke shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Corke misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bomber tries for a takedown but Corke sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bomber with a poor takedown enabling Corke to counter with a crisp jab. Bomber takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Corke lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Corke. Corke fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Bomber has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bomber leaning his opponent against the cage. Bomber is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Corke pulls him back up using the underhooks. Bomber ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bomber no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Corke tries to stand but Bomber is controlling from the bottom. Bomber avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Corke tries to stand but Bomber is controlling from the bottom. Corke working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alan Corke dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Bomber looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Corke wants to get back to his feet but Bomber is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Corke has his foot on Bomber's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bomber works his way back into a safe position though. Jordan Bomber has got the better of the ground game so far. Bomber is working Corke over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Bomber drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bomber jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bomber is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Bomber lands a couple of digs. Bomber controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Bomber is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bomber wants to control from the top but Corke keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bomber stops Corke from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corke keeping moving, preventing Bomber from controlling successfully. Bomber working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Corke's head. Corke has momentary wrist control but Bomber slips an elbow through the middle. Bomber scoring with punches to the head and body. Corke looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bomber is one step ahead there. Bomber cracks Corke with a solid left hand. Bomber is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Bomber working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Corke's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bomber won't allow Corke to get back to his feet. Corke knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bomber on the ground. Bomber stands and throws Corke's legs to the side, diving into side control. Bomber works to advance to full mount. Corke defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Bomber working for a submission but Corke is keeping him at bay. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bomber breaks from Corke's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corke is looking to get to half guard. Corke in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Bomber fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Bomber landing strikes from the mount. Corke tries to hold on but Bomber pushes him away. Bomber is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Bomber extends the arm and Corke is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jordan Bomber! After the fight, Jordan Bomber was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
