Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sig Hansen! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Askren scores with a hook to the body. Hansen takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Askren misses with a hook. Hansen ducked under it nicely. Askren connects with a body shot that sends Hansen's belly button to the back. Askren gets in close and instigates a clinch. Askren misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Askren works on Hansen's body with a couple of short punches. Askren using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hansen has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Hansen tries to land knees in the clinch but Askren avoids the damage to the body. Askren lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Askren displaying some good clinch control by pressing Hansen up against the cage. Hansen is looking to break free of the clinch but Askren has double underhooks. Askren turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Askren manages to end up in side control. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Askren lands an elbow. Askren is staying tight to Hansen's torso, preventing him from escaping. Askren stands up and beckons Hansen to his feet. Sig Hansen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Askren lands a right hook to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Askren pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hansen tries to sprawl but Askren drives through with a takedown into half guard. Askren escapes and gets back to his feet. Askren thows a body shot but no joy. Askren scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Askren drives through with a takedown into guard. Askren has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hansen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Askren might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Askren wants to control from the top but Hansen keeps moving. Askren gets to his feet. Hansen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Askren changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hansen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Askren moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hansen can do anything to dispel that myth. Askren scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hansen to see if he's OK. Hansen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Askren. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Askren stands up and beckons Hansen to his feet. Hansen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Askren. Askren throws a body punch but Hansen moves out of range. Askren lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hansen at a distance.
Askren tries to clinch up. Hansen avoids the head kick by Askren.
Askren moves in looking to clinch but Hansen pushes him off. Askren has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A battle for position here, against the cage. Hansen misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Askren blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Hansen stalling in the clinch but Askren improves position. Askren lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Hansen. Askren on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Askren lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Askren lands on the inside with an uppercut. Hansen tries to land knees in the clinch but Askren avoids the damage to the body. Askren lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Askren pushes Hansen back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Hansen looks winded! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Askren lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Askren tries to land knees in the clinch but Hansen avoids the damage to the body. Askren is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Askren dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Askren has closed the distance and engaged Hansen in a clinch.

It looks like Sig Hansen has been cut. Askren stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Askren's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Hansen is trying to break free. John Askren has scored more points in the clinch so far.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Askren creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Askren blocks a body shot from Hansen. Askren lands on the inside with an uppercut. Askren lands a hook to the side of the head.
Hansen is rocked! Askren lands a nice elbow. Hansen is still on wobbly legs! Can Askren finish him? Askren pushes Hansen against the cage. Askren is working some dirty boxing. Askren pushes off with a quick right hook! Hansen goes down! Hansen tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Askren moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Askren! John Askren really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Cobra Pharmaceuticals (159++ Stamina) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
