Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between AkoSii MangJose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Walpole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, AkoSii MangJose! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Robbie Walpole! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MangJose blocks a leg kick. MangJose rushes Walpole and presses him up against the cage. MangJose gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Walpole keeping full guard, as MangJose tries to pass. Walpole keeping moving, preventing MangJose from controlling successfully. MangJose is stalling in the full guard. Walpole had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. MangJose defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. MangJose is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
AkoSii MangJose has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Walpole comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. MangJose fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Walpole checks it well. Walpole misses with a wild body shot. Walpole jabbing away but nothing is landing. MangJose drives through with a takedown into guard. MangJose is stalling in the full guard. Walpole throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MangJose pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Walpole is keeping the position for now. MangJose stands and steps away. Walpole gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Walpole fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. MangJose looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Walpole will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Walpole. MangJose does a little dance to reset his feet. MangJose throws a lazy head kick and Walpole counters with a good low kick that MangJose was not able to check. MangJose wants to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walpole swings for the body but MangJose moves out of range.
MangJose shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Walpole is trying to stand.
MangJose is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Walpole is just riding it out for now. MangJose eventually gives up the hold. MangJose looks to land a strike but Walpole avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. MangJose decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Walpole, up you get! MangJose really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. MangJose misses with a few strikes there.
Walpole misses with a low kick as MangJose jumps back. Walpole fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. MangJose is breathing heavily. MangJose shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Walpole but Walpole pushes him off and we're back to square one. Walpole scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Walpole misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from MangJose.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Walpole is looking to score with low kicks. Walpole throws a right and a left that both miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
AkoSii MangJose dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Walpole slaps away a takedown attempt from MangJose, before circling back to the center of the mat. Walpole lands a jab to the nose. MangJose feints and as Walpole raises his hands in defense, MangJose changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Walpole is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
MangJose postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Walpole is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of MangJose, into his guard. Walpole passes MangJose's left leg - he's now in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. MangJose trying to control from the bottom.
MangJose moves into full guard.
Walpole advances to half guard. Walpole is pressing down on MangJose's thigh, looking to free his foot. MangJose is holding on for now. MangJose wants to control but Walpole is keeping busy.
Walpole throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walpole is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for MangJose! Walpole prevents MangJose from getting the reversal. Walpole moves to the back position. AkoSii MangJose overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. MangJose is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. MangJose trying to control the action but Walpole just sinks the hooks in.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MangJose fending off the submission attempt from Walpole. MangJose defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Despite being in a bad position, MangJose is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts. MangJose trying to control but not successfully. MangJose turns into Walpole and is now in his guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Walpole looking for a sweep. Not yet Walpole, not yet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. MangJose scoring with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robbie Walpole showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Walpole displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. MangJose shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. MangJose showed some decent athleticism there. MangJose is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Walpole trying to control from the bottom.
MangJose gets to his feet - back to striking we go! MangJose fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Walpole sprawls well initially but MangJose persists and gets the takedown into half guard. MangJose lands with a punch from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. MangJose is working for a submission of some sort.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. MangJose postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Walpole to stand up. Walpole gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows MangJose to score an easy takedown into full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Walpole is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walpole wants to control from the top but MangJose keeps moving. MangJose looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Walpole passes easily into side control. Nice work. You can see the frustration on MangJose's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. MangJose is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walpole working the ground and pound but MangJose is defending the strikes. MangJose on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if MangJose tries to get out of the position. MangJose is not content to let Walpole control the position. Walpole thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Walpole is looking to take a break and control but MangJose is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walpole is trying to get an arm triangle but MangJose is defending well. Walpole tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Walpole swings around for an armbar but MangJose sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Walpole's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. MangJose drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Walpole manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now MangJose has Walpole in his guard.
And that's the end of the fight! AkoSii MangJose showed his dominance in that final round. I think MangJose has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
