Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Hall! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hall pulls out of a head kick attempt.
No joy there for Diaz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Diaz tries to bum rush Hall with a series of wild strikes but Hall uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Diaz lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hall backs up against the cage.
Diaz throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Hall fails to land the takedown. A nice combination there by Diaz.
Hall fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Diaz avoids it really well and circles away. Nick Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Hall. A head kick misses from Diaz. Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hall paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hall showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Diaz.
Nick Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz tries to sprawl but Hall drives through with a takedown into half guard. Hall is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Diaz sees it coming and defends easily. Hall is trying to work for a kimura but Diaz is defending well.
Diaz slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hall working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hall pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diaz is keeping the position for now. Hall controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Diaz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hall works a leg free and moves into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hall is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Diaz is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Hall lands a heavy elbow. Hall lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Diaz hang on? Hall looking to control but Diaz is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hall looking for a guillotine from mount but Diaz is having none of it. Hall is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Hall extends the arm and Diaz is forced to tap!
