Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Manto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Harty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Manto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Harty!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manto doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Harty counters with an outside leg kick.

Harty clinches up against the cage.
Harty landing knees to the head.
Manto tries for a takedown but Harty manages to get underhooks.
Manto tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Manto. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Manto goes for a takedown in the clinch but Harty prevents it.

Harty's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Manto really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Nice sprawl there from Harty as Manto shoots in.
Harty throws a quick inside leg kick.
Manto fails with the takedown
and Harty counters with a nice low kick that buckles Manto's knee momentarily.

and Harty decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Manto's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Harty gets to his feet. Manto looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Harty stuffs the takedown attempt from Manto. Manto gets slowly back to his feet.
Manto is breathing heavily.

Manto closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Harty quickly recovers to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Manto not doing much here.
Harty is trying to stand up here but Manto is controlling him well.
Manto is looking to take a break and control but Harty is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Harty is looking to escape.
Manto will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Manto controlling the pace.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Manto has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of George Manto.
Manto fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Manto fails with the takedown.
Manto is trying hard to land a takedown here. Harty sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Manto tries to keep at a distance but Harty has taken the fight into the clinch.

and Harty counters by clinching up.
Manto drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Harty lands a good knee to the midsection. Manto won't want to take too many of those.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Harty obliges.
Manto is looking for a takedown.

Harty gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Manto has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Harty is working away from the top position though.
Manto moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Manto looking to control.
Harty stopping the sweep attempt from Manto.
Harty wants to stand but Manto has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Manto controls Harty momentarily but Harty frees himself.

George Manto has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Harty closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The strikes coming from Harty are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Manto is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Manto is pressing down on Harty's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Harty must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Harty preventing the sweep.
Harty trying to control the position from guard on top but Manto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Manto has control of Harty's left arm, preventing Harty from doing any damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Manto is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Manto content to control rather than advance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jack Harty will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Harty drives through and clinches with Manto against the cage.
Manto has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Harty after a bit of a struggle.
Manto goes for a takedown attempt but Harty pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Manto shoots and misses
and Harty counters with a left and a right that stings Manto.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Manto. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Harty counters with a nice leg kick.

and Harty counters with a head kick. That will keep Manto thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Harty misses with a series of wild punches.
Harty pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Manto back to the cage. Harty follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


Manto is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Harty closes the distance looking for a takedown. Manto stuffs it but Harty still has hold of him. Harty picks Manto up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Harty slams Manto to the floor and that's really hurt Manto - he doesn't know where he is! Harty throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Harty!
