6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Jesus! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Villar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jesus throws a jab when Villar was well out of range. Villar lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A combination from Jesus does no damage. Villar cracks Jesus with a good jab.
It looks like Jose Jesus has been cut. Jesus throws a jab when Villar was well out of range. Villar throws a right and a left that Jesus avoids nicely. Jesus has a takedown stuffed. Villar throws a one two combo.

Villar connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Jesus shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Villar counter with a right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Villar lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Villar throws a nice inside leg kick. Jesus takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Jesus throws a lazy right hand but Villar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Jesus has his takedown stuffed and Villar counters with a head kick that drops Jesus!

That has opened up Jose Jesus's cut even more.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Villar arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Jesus's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Chris Villar! Chris Villar retains his welterweight title!
