The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nelson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bonney quickly recovers to half guard.
Nelson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nelson in particular looking to stall.
Nelson prevents Bonney from standing back up.
Bonney is concentrating on defense, preventing Nelson from advancing position.
Nelson lands strikes from half guard.
Nelson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bonney keeps working.

Bonney looking for submissions off his back.
Nelson is trying to control the action in half guard but Bonney is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Bonney trying to get back to full guard but Nelson takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Nelson breaks from Bonney's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Nelson lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Bonney hang on?
Bonney is working to get back to half guard.
Nelson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like William Bonney has been cut.
Nelson postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Bonney in real trouble here! The ref calls for Bonney to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
