Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Petr Van Hooven!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Felipe Copello!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Hooven tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Copello manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Van Hooven walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Van Hooven clinches up with Copello and pushes him back against the cage.
Copello is trying to break the clinch but Van Hooven is controlling him.

Van Hooven pulls Copello into guard.
Copello trying to control but Van Hooven is working from the bottom.
Van Hooven wants to stand but Copello is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Copello trying to control the position from guard on top but Van Hooven is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Van Hooven lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Copello!
Copello is working to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Copello defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Van Hooven.
Van Hooven is landing with some decent strikes but Copello is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Van Hooven lands a big shot there that rocks Copello but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Copello takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.


It looks like Felipe Copello has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Van Hooven lands a heavy elbow.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Van Hooven cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Van Hooven looking to ground and pound but Copello is blocking nicely.

Van Hooven working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Copello turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Van Hooven off and cradles Copello's limp body as Van Hooven celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Petr Van Hooven!
A victorious Petr Van Hooven thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
