0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robson Joaquin! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Joaquin or perhaps it was just good defense by Dillansan which made him look bad. Dillansan swings for the body but Joaquin moves out of range.
Joaquin staying out of range there. Dillansan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Sloppy strikes from Dillansan. Those never looked like landing. Joaquin feints and as Dillansan raises his hands in defense, Joaquin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Joaquin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Dillansan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Joaquin is one step ahead there.

Dillansan is not content to let Joaquin control the position. Dillansan tries to kick Joaquin off but Joaquin keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Joaquin passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dillansan! Dillansan tries to buck Joaquin off but he can't manage it. Joaquin throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Dillansan wants to control but Joaquin is having none of it. Dillansan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joaquin on the ground. Joaquin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Joaquin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dillansan as he jumps to the side. Joaquin avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Dillansan looks to land a combination but Joaquin avoids it well. Dillansan tries to bum rush Joaquin with a series of wild strikes but Joaquin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dillansan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Joaquin manages to avoid it. Dillansan rushes Joaquin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Dillansan prevents a takedown attempt there.
