Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Biffa Bacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Burgess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bacon comes to the cage accompanied by British Marching Tune - The British Grenadiers. Bacon has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Biffa Bacon is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Biffa Bacon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Richard Burgess! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burgess tries to clinch up but Bacon circles away and keeps his distance. Burgess shoots in for a takedown but Bacon shows good takedown defense. Bacon will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Bacon is breathing heavily. Bacon slaps away a takedown attempt from Burgess, before circling back to the center of the mat. Nice takedown defense from Bacon. No joy for Burgess on that attempt. Biffa Bacon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Burgess. Burgess is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Burgess shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bacon napping and manages to drive through into side control! Bacon is trying to improve his position. Bacon is trying to escape the position but Burgess is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burgess looks up at the clock and then as Bacon takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Burgess smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Burgess lands an elbow. Burgess throws a strike aimed at the side of Bacon's head but Bacon avoids it well. Burgess is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Burgess wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bacon keeps working. Bacon on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burgess taking a breather here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bacon is not content to let Burgess control the position. Burgess is putting a hurting on Bacon here, landing some big shots from side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Burgess trying to control the position but Bacon is working away. Bacon is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burgess trying to control the position but Bacon is working away. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bacon is trying to escape the position but Burgess is controlling the position. Bacon is not content to let Burgess control the position. Burgess cracks Bacon with a big elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burgess remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Burgess is looking to take a break and control but Bacon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bacon takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Burgess wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bacon keeps working. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Burgess is working Bacon over with some ground and pound from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Burgess dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Burgess shoots in for a takedown but Bacon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A shot to the body from Burgess misses and Bacon counters with a body kick. Burgess wants to clinch up but Bacon keeps it at a distance. Burgess looks to clinch and Bacon counters with a stiff right hand. Bacon misses with a body kick. Burgess fails with the takedown and Bacon counters with a nice low kick that buckles Burgess's knee momentarily. Burgess tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bacon swivels and escapes. Biffa Bacon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Burgess. Burgess fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Richard Burgess seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bacon looks to throw a body kick and Burgess counters with a body kick that stops Bacon in his tracks momentarily. Bacon slaps away a takedown attempt from Burgess, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burgess shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bacon defends it nicely. Burgess gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bacon counters with a low kick, right behind Burgess 's knee. Bacon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bacon wants it to stay on the feet. Burgess darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bacon is looking to get back to full guard here but Burgess has managed to pass to side control instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burgess stands up and beckons Bacon to his feet. Burgess shoots in and bounces Bacon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Burgess connects with a couple of short punches. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bacon working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Burgess. Burgess trying to control the position from guard on top but Bacon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burgess working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Burgess postures up in Bacon's guard and throws a big left but Bacon blocks it. Burgess decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Burgess tries to clinch but Bacon is having none of it. Burgess shoots in for a takedown but Bacon shows good takedown defense. Burgess shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bacon's guard. Burgess wants to control from the top but Bacon keeps moving. Burgess might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bacon kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Burgess with a nice head shot there. Burgess trying to control but Bacon is working from the bottom. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Richard Burgess has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Burgess shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bacon but Bacon pushes him off and we're back to square one. Biffa Bacon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bacon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burgess was well out of range. Poor timing from Bacon. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Burgess showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Burgess gets a double leg takedown into Bacon's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bacon is looking for a triangle here but Burgess uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Burgess connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bacon some visible discomfort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Burgess wants to control but Bacon is keeping him busy. Bacon taking a bit of punishment here - Burgess scoring with strikes. Burgess in side control, just content to control the action for now. Burgess working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bacon defending against the ground and pound. Richard Burgess has got the better of the ground game so far. Bacon is working to avoid the ground and pound but Burgess connects with a decent elbow. Burgess is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Burgess in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Burgess tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Burgess has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! An elbow from Burgess crashes against the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burgess creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Biffa Bacon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Burgess is chipping away with strikes.
Burgess has been the more effective fighter overall so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Burgess staying calm. Burgess working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
And that's the end of the fight! Richard Burgess comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Burgess has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
