Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Sabin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiroshi Tetsuo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Hiroshi Tetsuo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Sabin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroshi Tetsuo! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tetsuo with a lazy takedown attempt and Sabin counters by moving into the clinch. Tetsuo is looking to take this one to the mat. Tetsuo drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Chris Sabin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiroshi Tetsuo. Tetsuo is trying to trip Sabin. He has hold of a leg but Sabin is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tetsuo persists though and gets the takedown into guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Sabin wants to sweep but no luck. Tetsuo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sabin works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tetsuo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Sabin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sabin trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Sabin working for a triangle but Tetsuo defends it easily.

The fighters roll with the hold and Sabin manages to kick Tetsuo off! Tetsuo jumps back into Sabin's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sabin is controlling Tetsuo's posture. Tetsuo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sabin works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sabin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tetsuo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sabin is trying to control the position but Tetsuo postures up. Sabin pulls Tetsuo in close to prevent any damage. Tetsuo throws an elbow that misses. Sabin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tetsuo's guard. Nice move by Sabin! Tetsuo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sabin!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sabin throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Tetsuo putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Tetsuo cracks Sabin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Sabin is trying desperately to improve position. Sabin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tetsuo on the ground. Tetsuo landing strikes from the mount and Sabin is in trouble! Tetsuo lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Sabin hang on? Poor strikes thrown by Tetsuo there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

BOOM! Tetsuo connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Tetsuo. Tetsuo goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Sabin is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sabin wants to stand but Tetsuo has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Tetsuo working for a triangle but Sabin defends it easily.

Tetsuo doesn't succeed with the takedown and Sabin counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Tetsuo manages to get to full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Chris Sabin wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Sabin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tetsuo napping and manages to drive through into side control! Sabin is looking to take a break and control but Tetsuo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sabin has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Tetsuo is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tetsuo has a takedown stuffed. Sabin gets a clinch. Tetsuo can't get the takedown.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chris Sabin. Tetsuo with a poor takedown and Sabin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tetsuo's guard. Tetsuo is trying to control the position but Sabin postures up. Sabin is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Tetsuo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Sabin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tetsuo, up you get! Sabin has Tetsuo up against the cage in a clinch.
Tetsuo is trying to drag Sabin to the mat but Sabin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tetsuo blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Sabin is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sabin pulls guard successfully.

Hiroshi Tetsuo has got the better of the ground game so far. Tetsuo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sabin's head. Tetsuo preventing the sweep. Sabin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Tetsuo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sabin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tetsuo has managed to get both his arms back between Sabin's legs - danger averted. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tetsuo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sabin swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Sabin dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Tetsuo misses with a takedown attempt so Sabin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Sabinis looking to pass into half guard but Tetsuo pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Tetsuo is in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Sabin working for a triangle but Tetsuo defends it easily.
Tetsuo postures up in Sabin's guard and throws a big left but Sabin blocks it. Sabin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Tetsuo prevents Sabin from getting back to his feet. Sabin pulls Tetsuo in to control the position. Tetsuo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Tetsuo throwing strikes from guard but Sabin blocks nicely.

Tetsuo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tetsuo with a flurry of punches that miss. Sabin managing to control the position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Tetsuo lands a couple of decent looking shots. Tetsuo preventing the sweep. Tetsuo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tetsuo throwing strikes from guard but Sabin blocks nicely. Tetsuo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tetsuo working some strikes from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tetsuo makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Tetsuo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sabin is keeping the position for now. Sabin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tetsuo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Tetsuo in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sabin has control of Tetsuo's left arm, preventing Tetsuo from doing any damage. Tetsuo connects with a couple of short punches. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sabin holds on and takes a little breather. Tetsuo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Tetsuo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sabin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! Sabin wants to stand and escape but Tetsuo is having none of it. Sabin trying to keep a closed guard but Tetsuo is proving a slippery customer.

Sabin pulls Tetsuo in close to his closed guard and prevents Tetsuo from doing any damage or advancing position. Sabin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tetsuo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tetsuo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
