Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Willy Coffey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zarek Reschke! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reschke tries to land a leg kick but Coffey saw it coming and moves away.
Reschke lands a leg kick that knocks Coffey off balance momentarily. Coffey tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reschke swivels and escapes. Coffey closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Nice body punch from Reschke - that landed with a thud.
Reschke lands an elbow inside that Coffey shrugs off. Reschke lands a right hand that snaps the head of Coffey backwards. Coffey looking to throw knees to the head but Reschke is blocking nicely.
Reschke lands a good knee to the midsection. Coffey won't want to take too many of those. Reschke has Coffey pressed against the cage, preventing Coffey from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Reschke tries to land a knee to the head but Coffey blocks with his arms.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Reschke creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Reschke lands a right hand. Reschke with the Thai clinch. Reschke lands an elbow that stopped Coffey in his tracks for a moment. Coffey is trying to pull guard but Reschke turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Coffey with an attempt at a knee that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coffey lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Reschke stops a takedown attempt from Coffey.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Coffey as Reschke tries to tie him up. Reschke gets through Coffey's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Coffey lands a hook to the side of the head. Reschke lands an elbow inside. Nice body punch from Reschke.

and Reschke counters with a right hand to the body. Coffey gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reschke wants to stall.

Coffey is rocked! Reschke lands an elbow that stopped Coffey in his tracks for a moment. Oh Coffey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Reschke lands a big knee to the head and Coffey goes down! Reschke pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
