The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant swinging wildly here.
Gibson throws a leg kick but Grant sees it coming and moves out of range.
Grant tries to bum rush Gibson with a series of wild strikes but Gibson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gibson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Gibson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Grant keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

It looks like Hutch Gibson has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gibson shoots for a double leg takedown but Grant sprawls well. He's pushed Gibson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Good leg kick by Gibson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Gibson is trying desperately to land a takedown but Grant is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Gibson.

Gibson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Grant to the mat! Grant manages to get full guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Gibson tries to free his leg and advance position but Grant is retaining full guard.
Gibson throws an elbow that misses. Grant uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gibson's guard. Nice move by Grant!

Grant has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gibson to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Grant is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gibson pulls down on the head and he's put Grant to sleep! This one is all over!

Hutch Gibson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
