Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Will Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Clay!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay circles away from the clinch attempt.

Lewis has Clay up against the cage in a clinch.
Lewis dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Lewis can't get the takedown.
A frustrated look appears on Lewis's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Clay tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lewis is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Lewis gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Clay is looking to stand up but Lewis isn't so interested in that idea.

Lewis decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Lewis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lewis sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Clay takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Lewis scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The referee warns Clay that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Lewis controlling the position easily from mount.
Clay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lewis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lewis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clay wants to try and get back to his feet.
Lewis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lewis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Clay looks a forlorn figure.

Lewis wants to finish this one by submission but Clay is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lewis.

Lewis is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Clay can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Clay has left one of his arms exposed and Lewis doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Clay screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
