Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Tang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beckhan Berkut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Trevor Tang has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Trevor Tang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Beckhan Berkut!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tang tries to close the distance and clinch but Berkut swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Berkut bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Berkut has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
A telegraphed right hand from Berkut misses the target.
Tang misses with a takedown attempt - Berkut sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Berkut blocks a head kick by Tang.
Tang shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Berkut pinned against the cage. Berkut gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Berkut shoots in looking for a takedown but Tang manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Berkut's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Berkut tries to clinch up.
Berkut fails in his attempt to clinch.
Berkut shoots in looking for a takedown. Tang tries to sprawl out of it but Berkut keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tang manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Tang looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Berkut shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tang manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Tang has control of Berkut's left arm, preventing Berkut from doing any damage.

Tang is trying to control the position but Berkut postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Trevor Tang.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Berkut gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Berkut fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tang.
Berkut fails with the takedown.

Berkut tries to clinch up but Tang circles away and keeps his distance.
Berkut plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Tang dodges the punch combination from Berkut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Tang is pressed up against the cage. Berkut has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tang down to the mat. Tang avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Berkut shoots in looking for a takedown but Tang manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Berkut's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Tang misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Berkut misses with a two punch combination.

Tang moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Berkut fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Tang takes the fight into the clinch.

Tang pulls guard successfully.
Tang managing to control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Berkut wanted to stand there but Tang had control of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Tang shoots and misses

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Tang is in a horrible position here. Berkut smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Berkut seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Tang is holding on tight.

The referee warns Tang that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Tang is working to get back to half guard.

Berkut is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Tang has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Tang is trying desperately to improve position.
Tang wants to control but Berkut is having none of it.

Tang is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Tang tries to lock up and control but Berkut gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Berkut wants to control the pace but Tang is squirming around nicely.

Berkut is working for a guillotine from mount but Tang frees his head quite easily.
Berkut lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Berkut breaks from Tang's wrist control and lands an elbow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Berkut avoids the attempt from Tang to control.
Tang is looking to get to half guard.
Berkut has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Berkut lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Berkut has hold of Tang's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tang manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Berkut fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Berkut decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Berkut closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tang to the mat! Tang manages to get full guard.

Tang wants to control the position but Berkut says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Well, if Berkut is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Tang has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Berkut is working away from the top position though.
Berkut prevents Tang from standing back up.
Tang is not content to let Berkut control the position.
Berkut moves nicely into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tang is looking to regain half guard here but Berkut keeps moving and retains side control.

Berkut wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tang, who protects the arm well.

Berkut stands up and beckons Tang to his feet.

Tang shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Berkut sprawls well. Berkut wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tang gets slowly back to his feet.

Berkut misses with a jab, cross combination.
Berkut looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tang throws a head kick but Berkut moves out of range.
Berkut looks for a takedown but Tang sprawls well.

Beckhan Berkut is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tang is looking to clinch but Berkut is avoiding it.
