The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy stuffs the takedown attempt from Olson. Olson gets slowly back to his feet.
Olson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Olson takes one to the chin there.
Olson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Murphy misses the shot to the body.
Murphy connects with a jab.

It looks like Christian Olson has been cut.
Murphy throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Murphy misses with a straight right.
Olson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Murphy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Olson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christian Olson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Murphy lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Murphy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Olson throws a hook but Murphy avoids it easily.

Olson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Murphy. Murphy obviously looking to wear him down.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Olson.
Olson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Murphy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Olson scrambles back to his feet.
Murphy turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Murphy fails with an attempt to clinch.
Murphy scores with a jab.
That kick from Murphy tenderised Olson's leg. Olson is trying to keep his angry face on.

Murphy darts in and clinches Olson up against the cage.
Olson tries to score a body lock takedown but Murphy shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Murphy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Murphy lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Murphy shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Olson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Murphy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This has been an exciting period of action!

An elbow from Olson crashes against the mat.
Olson tries to score with some ground and pound. Murphy controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Murphy is working to avoid the ground and pound but Olson connects with a decent elbow.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Murphy can do anything to dispel that myth.
Olson throws a strike aimed at the side of Murphy's head but Murphy avoids it well.

Olson is working to tighten is grip on Murphy's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Murphy has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Olson is really squeezing tight and eventually Murphy passes out! Olson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
