Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sasha Hulskan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yussef Samilienko! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Samilienko closes the distance and clinches up with Hulskan, looking for a takedown. Samilienko pushes Hulskan against the cage but Hulskan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Samilienko wants to clinch. Hulskan throws a sloppy head kick and Samilienko moves out of range easily. Samilienko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hulskan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hulskan clinches up with Samilienko and pushes him back against the cage. Hulskan wants a takedown.
Hulskan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Samilienko's efforts to push away. Hulskan misses with some punches.

Sasha Hulskan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yussef Samilienko. Hulskan working hard to break the clinch. Hulskan has hold of one of Samilienko's legs. Samilienko is fighting the takedown attempt but Hulskan gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Hulskan advances position into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hulskan is looking to take a break and control but Samilienko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Samilienko is looking for a sweep. Hulskan trying to control the position but Samilienko is working away. Hulskan decides to take the fight back to the feet. Hulskan looking to score a takedown here. Samilienko is defending well but Hulskan drives through and ends up in Samilienko's guard. Hulskan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Samilienko works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Samilienko wants to sweep but no luck. Hulskan trying to control the position from guard on top but Samilienko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hulskan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Sasha Hulskan has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Hulskan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hulskan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hulskan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hulskan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hulskan drives through and clinches with Samilienko against the cage.
Samilienko has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Samilienko is looking for a takedown. Hulskan pulls guard effortlessly. Hulskan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Samilienko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hulskan is tightening it up a little... Samilienko has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Samilienko reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Samilienko taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hulskan!
