The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald misses the shot to the body.
Barnes scores with a hook to the body. McDonald takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Barnes uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McDonald has time to react.
Barnes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

McDonald lands a jab to the nose.
Barnes connects with a nice looking jab.
McDonald shoots in and drives through. Barnes sprawls well.
McDonald shoots in but Barnes avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Barnes lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Barnes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

McDonald strikes from the bottom but Barnes takes advantage and advances to full mount!

McDonald is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
McDonald wants to hold on but Barnes pushes him away.
McDonald has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Barnes lands a big shot to the head and McDonald winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
