Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brett Swayze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urijah Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Faber is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Choke - Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. The key to victory for Brett Swayze has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brett Swayze! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Urijah Faber! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faber takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Swayze just misses with a punch to the body.
A swing and a miss from Faber. Swayze steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Faber. Swayze's corner calls for a 1-2. Swayze obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Faber keeps the fight on the outside. Faber is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Swayze. Swayze throws an off balance right hand
and Faber connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Faber keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Swayze catches Faber with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Swayze keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nice shot by Swayze.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swayze dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Faber tries to move into range but Swayze moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Swayze moves in looking to clinch but Faber pushes him off. A slow jab from Swayze misses its intended target. Swayze misses with a head kick.
Faber misses with a straight left. Swayze ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Faber throws a hook but Swayze avoids it easily. Swayze is looking to clinch. Swayze tries a head kick but it misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Swayze takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Swayze with a jab. Swayze is looking to clinch. Faber looks to throw the jab but Swayze is out of range. Faber circles away from the clinch attempt.
Swayze walks into a straight right hand from Faber. Faber keeps the fight on the outside. Some wild striking there from Swayze.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Faber is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Swayze swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Faber is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Swayze is keeping busy. Faber is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage. Faber takes a knee right on the jaw!

A nice right hand lands inside from Swayze. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Swayze using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Faber has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Swayze lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Swayze as Faber tries to tie him up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Swayze defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Faber. Swayze dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Faber. That did some damage! Swayze staying out of range there. A looping hook to the body misses from Swayze. Faber does a little dance to reset his feet. Faber throws a big shot that misses. Swayze lands with a thumping leg kick.
Swayze is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Swayze fails in his attempt to clinch. Faber ducks right into an uppercut from Swayze. Faber misses with an uppercut
and Swayze counters with a body kick that stops Faber in his tracks momentarily. Swayze is looking to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swayze tries to bum rush Faber with a series of wild strikes but Faber uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Faber avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Swayze takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Swayze tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Faber counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Danga de danga de dang - Swayze scores with a four punch combination! Brett Swayze is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Swayze misses with a head kick.

and Faber cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Swayze waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Faber. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Swayze - that will leave a mark!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swayze tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Faber counters with a single leg into guard. Swayze didn't expect that. This has been an exciting period of action! Faber is stalling in the full guard. Swayze has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Swayze keeping full guard, as Faber tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swayze trying to keep a closed guard but Faber is proving a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Brett Swayze just wasn't active enough. Faber throws a hook but Swayze avoids it easily. Brett Swayze is winning the standup battle so far. Swayze throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Swayze is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Faber with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Swayze to score with a decent uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Faber walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Swayze throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Faber cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Swayze moves away from the strike by Faber. Swayze fails with an attempt to clinch.
Swayze wants to clinch. Faber swings away with a body shot that misses
and Swayze counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Swayze tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Swayze throws a head kick but Faber moves out of range.
Swayze throws an overhand right that lands on Faber's shoulder, as Faber tries to avoid the shot. Swayze throws a hook but Faber blocks it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brett Swayze dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Horrible takedown by Faber or perhaps it was just good defense by Swayze which made him look bad. Swayze connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Faber's hands. Swayze moves out of range of the strikes. Swayze doesn't manage to clinch there - Faber circles away.
Swayze misses with an uppercut. Faber saw that one coming. Swayze is looking to clinch. Swayze bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Faber's head. A chopping leg kick lands by Swayze. Swayze throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Faber has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Swayze finds it's way round the side to connect with Faber's head. Faber might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Swayze rushes Faber and presses him up against the cage. Swayze pushes Faber back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Swayze presses Faber against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Swayze fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

A battle for position here, against the cage. Faber has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Swayze avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Faber - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Swayze pushes Faber back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Urijah Faber has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Swayze misses with a knee to the head. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Swayze lands an uppercut. Faber managing to block the knees to the body from Swayze.
Faber goes for a takedown in the clinch but Swayze prevents it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Swayze misses with a knee to the head. Faber's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Faber blocks an elbow strike. Faber is working for takedown but Swayze is calmly controlling the position for now. Swayze lands a body punch. Faber is looking to take this one to the mat. Swayze lands a knee to the body.

Faber takes an elbow to the forehead. Brett Swayze is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Swayze letting Faber take a breather here. Swayze doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
And that's the end of the fight! Brett Swayze showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Swayze, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
