Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Van Halen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Halen kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Here I Go Again. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Willis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Van Halen swats him away and circles back towards the center. Van Halen tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Willis counters with a nice double leg into guard. Van Halen throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Van Halen has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Willis gets to his feet. Van Halen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Van Halen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Van Halen grinds an elbow into Willis's temple. Van Halen takes a little break here. Willis wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Willis is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
