Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charles Darwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rockson Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua has chosen The Stone Roses - I Am The Resurrection as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Rua.
The fighters circling - Darwin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Darwin wants to clinch up but Rua keeps it at a distance.
Rua tries a head kick but it misses.
Darwin is looking to score with low kicks.
Darwin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rua has time to react.

Darwin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rua walks away with a smile on his face. Darwin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Darwin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Darwin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Darwin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Darwin tries to clinch but Rua is having none of it.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rua creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Darwin jumps guard and drags Rua to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Darwin tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Darwin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rua controls the pace.
Darwin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Darwin has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rua is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Darwin.
