Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tupac Chopra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Uebishe Lesnoe! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnoe shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chopra napping and manages to drive through into side control! Lesnoe is looking to take a break and control but Chopra is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chopra is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Chopra is working hard here to advance position. Chopra wants to get back to his feet but Lesnoe drags him back down. Chopra is not content to let Lesnoe control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnoe working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Lesnoe is looking to take a break and control but Chopra is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chopra is pushing Lesnoe's head away, looking to escape. Lesnoe manages to hold on to the position though. Lesnoe stands up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lesnoe lands a high kick!
It looks like Tupac Chopra has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lesnoe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lesnoe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Chopra is wriggling around trying to escape.
Lesnoe jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Chopra manages to avoid the submission attempt. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Chopra throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Chopra is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Lesnoe controls the position from side control. Lesnoe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chopra keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Lesnoe has hold of Chopra's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Chopra seems comfortable defending it but Lesnoe has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Chopra is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Chopra is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lesnoe couldn't care less - he's delighted!
