Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Hodge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arvo Laar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laar has chosen some random 90's estonia dance song i found on youtube as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Hodge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arvo Laar! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laar throws a nice outside leg kick. Hodge avoids the head kick by Laar.
Hodge is looking to clinch. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hodge crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Laar - the referee stops the clock and Hodge gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Laar. Hodge manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Laar lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hodge takes a step back to recover. A punch lands to the side of Laar 's head but he takes it in his stride. No joy there for Hodge, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hodge connects with a right hand. Laar shakes it off. This has been an exciting period of action! That kick from Laar tenderised Hodge's leg. Hodge is trying to keep his angry face on. Hodge has Laar up against the cage in a clinch.
Hodge lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Laar backwards. Laar blocks a body shot from Hodge. Laar prevents a body shot from Hodge. Laar wants to get back to striking at distance but Hodge won't allow it.
Hodge has had enough of the clinch but Laar keeps him there for the moment. Hodge's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hodge scores with a crisp jab that stopped Laar in his tracks. Laar tries a head kick but it misses.

Hodge stuns Laar with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laar lands with a kick to the temple. Hodge shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Hodge on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Hodge tries to clinch there but Laar circles away.

Hodge rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Laar moves out of range and avoids them all easily. That kick from Laar tenderised Hodge's leg. Hodge is trying to keep his angry face on. Hodge tries to close the distance and clinch but Laar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Laar throws a combination. Hodge tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Frank Hodge has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Laar lands a leg kick that knocks Hodge off balance momentarily. Hodge avoids a kick to the body.
Hodge moves out of range of the body kick. Laar misses with a head kick.
Laar misses with a body kick. Hodge throws a body punch but Laar moves out of range. Hodge moves into the clinch. Laar has had enough of the clinch but Hodge keeps him there for the moment. Laar has Hodge pressed against the cage, preventing Hodge from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Laar tries to stall but Hodge uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Laar swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Hodge takes a kick to the side of the head. Laar thuds his shin into the meat of Hodge's side. Laar throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Laar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hodge tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Laar was well out of range. Poor timing from Hodge. Laar chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Hodge fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hodge throws a right hand that Laar ducks under and follows up with a left that Laar also avoids with ease. Laar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hodge. Hodge pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hodge swinging wildly here.

Laar throws a body kick that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whack! Laar lands a heavy head kick that drops Hodge. The ref tackles Laar to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Hodge was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Arvo Laar! Arvo Laar spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
