PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Gale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kerry Mcgee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcgee comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Superman's Worst Nightmare kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Chris Gale had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Kerry Mcgee is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kerry Mcgee!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gale as he avoids it easily.
Gale really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mcgee stuffs the takedown.

Gale shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mcgee manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Mcgee wants to stand and escape but Gale is having none of it.

Chris Gale has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Mcgee closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Gale shoots for a double leg takedown but Mcgee sprawls well. He's pushed Gale's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mcgee looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gale with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
