Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phil Hellmuth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harry Nevada!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hellmuth dodges the punch combination from Nevada.
Hellmuth clobbers Nevada with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hellmuth closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Hellmuth connects with a nice looking jab.
Hellmuth scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Hellmuth looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nevada moves in looking to clinch but Hellmuth pushes him off.
Nevada misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nevada takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hellmuth jabs at Nevada's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nevada fails to land the takedown.
Hellmuth lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Nevada sprawling to the canvas. Hellmuth follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Nevada hang on?


Nevada is rocked!
Nevada looks gassed!

Hellmuth decides to stand and escape the position.
Nevada walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Nevada is still on wobbly legs! Can Hellmuth finish him?

Hellmuth lands with an overhand left.
Nice uppercut lands for Hellmuth. That snapped Nevada's head back.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Hellmuth and Nevada goes tumbling to the canvas! Hellmuth follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Hellmuth has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Nevada wants to get back to his feet.
Nevada seems to have recovered his senses.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hellmuth in particular looking to stall.

Hellmuth looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nevada with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well, if Hellmuth is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nevada can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Phil Hellmuth just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Hellmuth happy to just control the position for now.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nevada is looking for a sweep.
Nevada takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Hellmuth controls the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


The crowd cheers as Hellmuth lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nevada doesn't seem phased though.
Hellmuth closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Hellmuth drops Nevada with a left and a right! Oh, Nevada is hurt - Hellmuth dives into side control looking to finish!

Nevada seems to have recovered his senses.
Nevada is breathing heavily.
Hellmuth in side control lands a decent elbow.
Hellmuth controls the position.

Hellmuth tries to stand but Nevada is controlling his head.
Nevada tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hellmuth lands a nice forearm strike.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hellmuth scores with a couple of short elbows.

You can see the frustration on Nevada's face as Hellmuth controls the position.
Nevada is trying to improve his position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Phil Hellmuth just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Nevada fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Phil Hellmuth is winning the standup battle so far.
Hellmuth cracks Nevada with a good jab.
Hellmuth jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hellmuth scores with a jab. Nevada acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Hellmuth feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Nevada sprawling to the canvas! Nevada rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hellmuth finish him?!
Nevada looks up at the clock. Bad move! Hellmuth lands a right hand from hell, dropping Nevada. Hellmuth pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phil Hellmuth!
