Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Holk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kahva Luu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luu moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Holk keeps the fight on the outside.
Luu scores with a punch to the head.

Holk is rocked!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Holk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Luu tries to avoid it but Holk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Luu to the ground. Luu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Oh Holk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Luu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Holk.

Holk seems to have got his legs back now.

Holk pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holk is trying to keep Luu in close.
Luu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Holk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Holk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Luu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Luu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Holk trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Luu trying to control the position from guard on top but Holk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Holk controls Luu momentarily but Luu frees himself.
Luu advances to half guard.
Luu is tying to control. Holk wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are battling for position here. Holk manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Luu trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Luu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Luu throwing strikes but missing.
Holk is breathing heavily.
Luu scoring with punches to the head and body.
Luu is working Holk over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Holk wants to sweep but no luck.

Holk is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Holk is trying to control the position but Luu postures up.
Luu postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Luu won't allow Holk to sweep him here.

Oh but Holk is tightening it up a little... Luu has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Luu reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Luu taps out! nice BJJ there by Holk!
