Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Velcrow Mercades (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mercades might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Baddest- Krispy Kreme. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercades showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carter.
Carter looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Carter advances position into side control!
Mercades gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Carter working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Mercades tries to buck Carter off but he can't manage it.

Carter throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mercades because Carter loaded up on that one.

Mercades sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Mercades will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Carter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mercades swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Carter postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mercades is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Carter, into his guard.

Carter is pulling down on Mercades's head to control his posture.
Mercades gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Mercades is looking to score with low kicks.
Carter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Carter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carter lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carter goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mercades turns into him and now he's in Carter's guard.
Mercades is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round.

Carter throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mercades sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Carter drives through with a takedown into Mercades's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Carter decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Carter dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Carter lands a really nice looking cross but Mercades seems unphased.
Carter drops Mercades with a beautiful combination! Mercades stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Carter is looking for the KO!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carter lands a jab.
Oh Mercades is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mercades throws a low kick but it's checked well by Carter.
Carter lands with a big right hook that stumbles Mercades - he's out on his feet here! Carter follows up with another monster hook that separates Mercades from consciousness! Mercades falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Carter stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Matt Carter!
