Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonah Sumrall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sanex Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sumrall might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kutless - Smile. Lewis has chosen Snoop DoGG as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sanex Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lewis.

Lewis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sumrall's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Lewis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Lewis is looking to work some ground and pound but Sumrall has wrist control.
Lewis wants to pass the guard but Sumrall is keeping the position.

Lewis is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sumrall is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sumrall has escaped and now he's on top!
Sumrall wants to get up but he can't break Lewis's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Lewis looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sumrall puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Lewis pushes Sumrall off looking to stand but Sumrall dives back in and keeps control.
Lewis is staying active underneath Sumrall, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Sumrall not doing much here.
Lewis looks like he's trying to stand up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jonah Sumrall wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Sumrall keeps Lewis at a distance using the push kick.
Sumrall slaps away a takedown attempt from Lewis, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Lewis closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Lewis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Lewis throwing strikes but Sumrall manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Lewis looks to move to half guard but instead Sumrall has passed into mount! Damn!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lewis manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Lewis is looking for a sweep. Sumrall is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Sumrall decides to stand up.

Sumrall lands with a nice body kick.
Lewis blocks a head kick by Sumrall.
Lewis swinging wildly here.
Lewis throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sumrall.
Jonah Sumrall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lewis tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Sumrall counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sumrall circles away from the clinch attempt
and Sumrall counters with a head kick. That will keep Lewis thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

That was a close round but I would say that Jonah Sumrall will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

A decent looking body kick lands there for Sumrall.
Lewis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

letting Sumrall counter with a right hand.

Crunch! Sumrall slams his shin into Lewis's torso.
Lewis is breathing heavily.
Sumrall stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sumrall wants it to stay on the feet.
Jonah Sumrall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sanex Lewis.

Lewis shoots and misses

and Sumrall counters with a crisp one two that drops Lewis! Sumrall thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lewis to his feet! Lewis is in big trouble!

Lewis is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Sumrall engages and cracks Lewis with a massive lead left hook - Lewis tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Sumrall is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
