Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Lavok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Thomas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jon Lavok! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ben Thomas! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas shoots for a double leg takedown but Lavok sprawls well. He's pushed Thomas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Thomas feints and as Lavok raises his hands in defense, Thomas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Thomas sitting in guard here, content to control. Lavok knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thomas on the ground. Thomas is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lavok is trying to control the position but Thomas postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thomas scoring with some ground and pound. Thomas tries to free his leg and advance position but Lavok is retaining full guard. Thomas trying to control but Lavok is working from the bottom. Lavok looking to hit a scissor sweep but Thomas is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lavok is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Thomas slips nicely into half guard. Lavok on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lavok tries to get out of the position. Thomas content to control rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Thomas shoots in looking for a takedown but Lavok manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Thomas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Thomas has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Thomas there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Ben Thomas has been cut. Lavok connects with a solid leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lavok connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Thomas looks winded! Lavok fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Thomas has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Thomas drops his hands momentarily and Lavok takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Lavok with a jab. Thomas is holding his hands too far apart here. Lavok throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Thomas is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jon Lavok!
