Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bishop Rome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Cash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bishop Rome! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Martin Cash! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.

Cash with a lazy takedown attempt and Rome cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Cash throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cash uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rome. Cash misses with a takedown and Rome counters with a nice uppercut. Cash throws a head kick that misses. Cash fails in his attempt to clinch. Rome connects with a nice looking jab.
Cash has his takedown stuffed and Rome counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Cash thinking. Bishop Rome has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin Cash. Cash tries to clinch but Rome moves away and Rome counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cash ducks right into an uppercut from Rome. Cash fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Cash misses with a takedown attempt and Cash takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Cash shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rome counters with a straight right hand.

Cash tries for a takedown but Rome circles away easily and Rome counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cash throws a body kick that misses. Cash misses with a head kick.
Cash bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Cash wants to clinch. Rome thows a body shot but no joy. Cash pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cash has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cash there as he acknowledges the shot.

Cash tries to clinch but fails miserably and Rome counters with a lovely shot to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cash wants to clinch. Cash with a poor takedown and Rome counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Rome ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Bishop Rome is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rome lands an overhand right.

Cash is rocked! Rome walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Cash drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Rome swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Cash's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bishop Rome!
