Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Hearst Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hatsu Matsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hogan comes to the cage accompanied by The Game. Matsu has chosen LMFAO - Sexy and I Know It as his entrance music. Hatsu Matsu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Hunter Hearst Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Hatsu Matsu!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Matsu pushes Hogan up against the cage in a clinch.
Hogan has Matsu pushed against the cage.

Hogan is fighting off a takedown attempt but Matsu is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hogan to the mat. Hogan regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Matsu throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Matsu postures up.

Hogan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hogan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Matsu trying to control but Hogan is working from the bottom.
Matsu in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Matsu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hogan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Matsu trying to control the position from guard on top but Hogan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hogan has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Matsu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hogan has momentary wrist control but Matsu slips an elbow through the middle.
Hogan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Matsu wants to pass the guard but Hogan is keeping the position.

Matsu looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Good work by Matsu as he checks the leg kick.

Horrible takedown by Hogan or perhaps it was just good defense by Matsu which made him look bad.
Hogan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hogan tries to clinch there but Matsu circles away.
Matsu's corner calls for a 1-2. Matsu obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Hogan looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Matsu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hogan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hogan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Matsu working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Hogan has passed into half guard!
Hogan scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Hogan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Matsu keeps working.

Hogan is working for a submission of some sort.
Matsu is trying to get back to full guard.
Hogan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Matsu's head.
Matsu wants to improve his position but Hogan is controlling well.
Hogan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Hogan is trying to control. Matsu wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Hogan stalling.

Hogan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Matsu's head.
Hogan trying to control the action but Matsu is working from the bottom.
Matsu wants to control but Hogan is keeping busy.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Matsu misses with a hook.
Matsu avoids the head kick by Hogan.
Matsu connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hogan missing with a left hand there. Matsu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hogan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Matsu pinned against the cage. Matsu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Matsu misses with a looping right.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Hatsu Matsu will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Matsu connects with a right hand. Hogan shakes it off.
Hunter Hearst Hogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hogan throws a big shot that misses.
Hogan avoids the body shot from Matsu.
Hogan takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Matsu misses with a few strikes there.

Matsu moves into the clinch.
Matsu tries to throw a body punch but Hogan avoids it by throwing Matsu back against the cage.
Hogan is pressed up against the cage. Matsu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hogan down to the mat. Hogan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Hogan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Matsu!

Hogan lands a big elbow.
Hogan wants to control the pace but Matsu is squirming around nicely.

Hogan wants to finish this one by submission but Matsu is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hogan.
Hogan avoids the attempt from Matsu to control.
BOOM! Hogan connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Matsu regains half guard.
Matsu is staying active underneath Hogan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hogan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Matsu is just riding it out for now. Hogan eventually gives up the hold.
Matsu tries to kick Hogan off but Hogan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hogan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hogan is stalling here. Matsu is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hogan seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Matsu has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Hogan stops Matsu from passing to mount.
Hogan sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Hogan trying to hold on to Matsu's head to control him but Matsu postures up.
Matsu thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hogan tries to get to full guard but Matsu has control of the leg.

Hogan is looking to improve his position.
Hogan is trying to maintain the position but Matsu is very close to passing his half guard.
Matsu moves into full mount! Hogan won't be happy about that!
Hogan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Matsu landing strikes, looking to finish!
Hogan tries to reverse the position but Matsu maintains control.
Hunter Hearst Hogan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hogan is working hard here to advance position.
Matsu can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hogan is looking to escape.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hogan can't escape the position.
Matsu with a couple of short strikes.
Hogan wants to hold on but Matsu pushes him away.
Hogan is looking to get to half guard.
Hogan manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Matsu wants to pass to mount but Hogan is defending the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hogan has hold of Matsu's hands but Matsu slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Hogan wants to control but Matsu is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hunter Hearst Hogan will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Hogan stuffs the takedown.
Hogan shoots in looking for a takedown. Matsu tries to sprawl out of it but Hogan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Matsu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Matsu tries to keep at a distance but Hogan has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hogan blocking some punches.
Matsu is leaning against Hogan and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Matsu goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A hook to the body from Matsu.
Hogan goes for a takedown in the clinch but Matsu prevents it.
Matsu tries to score a body lock takedown but Hogan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

The referee is keeping an eye on Matsu - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Matsu is looking for a takedown.
Hunter Hearst Hogan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hatsu Matsu.
Hogan is trying to drag Matsu to the mat but Matsu just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Matsu fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Hogan stops a takedown attempt from Matsu.
Matsu is trying to break the clinch but Hogan is controlling him.

Hogan is trying to maintain the position but Matsu is very close to passing his half guard.
Matsu winds up and cracks Hogan with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Matsu is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Matsu works his way into full mount!
Hogan tries to hold on but Matsu postures up.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hogan is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Matsu prevents Hogan from getting the reversal.
Hogan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Hogan wants to control but Matsu is having none of it.
Matsu scoring with strikes but Hogan is staying in there.
Matsu with shots to the head and body - Hogan looks very uncomfortable down there.
BOOM! Matsu connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Hogan is rocked!
Hogan tries to lock up and control but Matsu gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Oh Hogan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hogan takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Matsu's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hatsu Matsu!
