The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Krowtits moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Krowtits shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mercer sprawls well. Mercer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Krowtits gets slowly back to his feet.
Krowtits will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Horrible takedown by Krowtits or perhaps it was just good defense by Mercer which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Krowtits. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Krowtits shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mercer defends it nicely.

Alex Mercer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mercer lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Krowtits is looking to close the distance but Mercer sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Krowtits crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Krowtits is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
