Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Saggett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Falco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob Saggett!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Falco!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Saggett misses

and Falco counters with a nice double leg into side control. Saggett won't be happy with that.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Falco tries to move into full mount but can't pass Saggett's legs.
Saggett is trying to get back to his feet.
Falco tries to advance to mount but Saggett denies him.
Falco in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Saggett is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Falco is controlling him well.

Saggett explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

It looks like Bob Saggett has been cut.
A slapping body kick lands there for Falco.
Bob Saggett is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Falco is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Saggett's half guard.

Falco uses his free foot to push down on Saggett's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Saggett.

It looks like Shane Falco has been cut.
Falco tries to score a power double leg takedown but Saggett sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Falco somewhat.
Saggett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Saggett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Saggett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Falco moves away.
Falco pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Saggett misses with a jab, cross combination.
Falco moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Falco tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Saggett throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Falco throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

enabling Falco to counter with a crisp jab.
Saggett throws a hook but Falco avoids it easily.
Falco uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Saggett.
Bob Saggett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Falco counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Falco is working for a submission of some sort.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Saggett is trying to stand up here but Falco is controlling him well.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Saggett is refusing to be controlled, as Falco sits in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Shane Falco was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Saggett shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Saggett's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Falco will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Saggett tries to kick Falco off but Falco keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Shane Falco has got the better of the ground game so far.
Falco is pressing down on Saggett's thigh, looking to free his foot. Saggett is holding on for now.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Falco seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Saggett does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Saggett is looking to escape.
Falco wants to pass the guard but Saggett is defending well.
Falco has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Saggett is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

That kick from Saggett tenderised Falco's leg. Falco is trying to keep his angry face on.
Saggett avoids the head kick by Falco.
Falco turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Falco throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Saggett lands with a slapping head kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Saggett throws a series of punches but Falco moves out of range.

A punch lands to the side of Falco 's head but he takes it in his stride.


Falco is rocked!
Bob Saggett is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Falco throws a head kick but Saggett moves out of range.
Falco is still on wobbly legs! Can Saggett finish him?
Saggett cracks Falco with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Falco falls to his knees and Saggett doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bob Saggett!
