Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dragon Tiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Blunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dragon Tiger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Erik Blunt! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tiger gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Blunt to score an easy takedown into full guard. Blunt passes into half guard. Tiger really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Blunt content to control rather than advance. Tiger on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Blunt decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Blunt closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tiger's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tiger is pulling down on Blunt's head to control his posture. Tiger looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tiger is working hard here to advance position. Blunt wants to pass the guard but Tiger is keeping the position. Blunt trying to control but Tiger is working from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Tiger is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Dragon Tiger just wasn't active enough. Excellent takedown into side control there by Blunt. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tiger is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Blunt's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Tiger trying to control from the bottom.
Tiger is pressing down on Blunt's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Blunt scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Tiger can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Blunt controls the pace. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tiger keeping moving, preventing Blunt from controlling successfully. Blunt avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Blunt is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tiger can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Blunt controls the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Erik Blunt. Blunt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Blunt is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tiger is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Blunt working the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tiger sneaks back into half guard. Blunt is figuring out what he wants to do next. Blunt is looking to pass Tiger's guard but actually Tiger recovers to full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Blunt trying to control the position from guard on top but Tiger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Some wild striking there from Tiger.
Nice sprawl there from Blunt as Tiger shoots in. Blunt tries to clinch up but Tiger circles away and keeps his distance. Blunt fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tiger sprawls well initially but Blunt persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Blunt controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blunt looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tiger with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tiger tries to roll over but Blunt keeps him under control. Blunt is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Blunt is looking for a kimura here.
Blunt perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Blunt seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Blunt content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Blunt is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Blunt stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Tiger to get to his feet. Blunt is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Tiger pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dragon Tiger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tiger gets caught napping as Blunt dives in and scores a takedown. Tiger manages to retain guard. Erik Blunt has got the better of the ground game so far. Blunt is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Blunt wants to control from the top but Tiger keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blunt slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tiger holds on and takes a little breather. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Erik Blunt. A momentary lapse in concentration from Tiger enables Blunt to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tiger manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Blunt trying to control the position from guard on top but Tiger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Blunt is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Tiger wants to stand and escape but Blunt is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Erik Blunt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Blunt drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Blunt is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Tiger working a defensive guard here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Blunt trying to control the position from guard on top but Tiger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Blunt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Blunt looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blunt's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tiger won't allow Blunt to pass to mount.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Erik Blunt. Blunt punishes Tiger's body with a nice straight punch. Blunt tries to clinch up but Tiger circles away and keeps his distance. Blunt feints and as Tiger raises his hands in defense, Blunt changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Tiger is looking for a triangle here but Blunt uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Blunt looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Blunt working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Blunt not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Dragon Tiger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Erik Blunt is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Blunt passes into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Erik Blunt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Blunt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
