Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philip Dale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Soda Popinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Soda Popinski! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dale scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Popinski throws a series of punches but Dale avoids them all with ease. Popinski slips a jab from Dale. Popinski falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dale counters with a series of strikes that sends Popinski to the canvas! Dale follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight! Dale won't allow Popinski to get back to his feet. Popinski throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Popinski swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dale counters with a stiff right hand. Dale connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Popinski misses with a series of wild punches.
Dale lands a with a good body shot. Popinski looks gassed! Popinski looks to land a right hand but Dale moved out of range. Popinski on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Dale lands with a shot to the body. Jab from Dale. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Popinski tries to bum rush Dale with a series of wild strikes but Dale uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Popinski missing with a left hand there. Dale was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Popinski misses with a shot to the body enabling Dale to counter with a crisp jab. Dale takes a shot right to the bread basket. Popinski is looking to clinch but Dale is avoiding it.
Popinski throws a right and a left that both miss. Dale smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. A big left from Popinski misses. Popinski misses with a combination
and Dale counters with a left to the body. A punch lands to the side of Popinski 's head but he takes it in his stride. Popinski takes one on the button. Popinski misses with the combination.
Nice combo by Dale! Oh, that's hurt him - Popinski falls to the canvas and Dale follows him into side control.
Popinski is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dale decides to stand up, so the ref orders Popinski to his feet. Popinski is still on wobbly legs! Can Dale finish him? Popinski with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dale to score with a decent uppercut. Dale lands a with a good body shot. Dale lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Popinski falls backwards - clearly groggy! Dale dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
