Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gay Barr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Pedretti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gay Barr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Felipe Pedretti!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Barr.
Pedretti swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pedretti swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Barr counters with a takedown into side control.
Barr controls the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pedretti is working to avoid the ground and pound but Barr connects with a decent elbow.
Pedretti wants to get back to his feet but Barr drags him back down.

Barr decides to stand back up.
Barr looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pedretti throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Barr clinches with his opponent.

Barr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pedretti looks to score with a jab to the body but Barr is just out of range.

Pedretti manages to break the clinch.

Barr scores with a decent looking hook.
Pedretti throws the left hand but Barr avoids the punch easily.

Barr feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pedretti is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Barr is controlling him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pedretti is working an open guard so Barr takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Barr shoots in and gets a takedown into Pedretti's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Barr decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pedretti, up you get!
Barr tries to clinch up but Pedretti circles away and keeps his distance.

Pedretti prevents the takedown attempt.

Barr decides to pull guard.
Barr throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Pedretti wants to get back to his feet.
Barr passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Pedretti!

Barr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Barr misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Barr is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Pedretti has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Pedretti is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Barr lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Barr looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Barr cracks Pedretti with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Barr shoots in and bounces Pedretti off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Pedretti is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Barr is controlling him.
Gay Barr overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pedretti wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Barr manages to pass to side control.

Barr wants to free his trapped foot but Pedretti is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Barr decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Barr is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pedretti can do to turn this around?
Pedretti is breathing heavily.

Barr tries to clinch there but Pedretti circles away.
Pedretti throws a right and a left that Barr avoids nicely.
Pedretti throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Barr counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Barr.
Barr is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Gay Barr wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Barr shoots in looking for a takedown. Pedretti tries to sprawl out of it but Barr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pedretti manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Barr counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barr postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pedretti to stand up.

Barr is trying to pull guard but Pedretti turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Barr looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pedretti won't allow Barr to sweep him here.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Barr holds on and takes a little breather.

Barr isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Pedretti stacks Barr on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Pedretti!

Pedretti decides to stand up, so the ref orders Barr to his feet.

Barr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pedretti takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Barr content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Barr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pedretti keeps working.
The ground and pound from Barr seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Pedretti avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Barr.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Barr is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pedretti is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Barr is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pedretti has managed to free his arm - good work.

Barr shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pedretti is trying to defend but Barr finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
